Successful applicants will ‘earn as they learn’ and benefit from a blend of on-the-job development, guided by a well-established team along with day release to attend Northwest Regional College to complete an Engineering with pathways Level 2 Diploma Apprenticeship progressing to a Level 3 Engineering Diploma Apprenticeship. .


  • Undertake a Level 2 Engineering qualifications, progressing to Level 3 Engineering qualification.
  • Operate manual and CNC machinery to manufacture tools and fixtures.
  • Maintaining and repairing tools and fixtures on the shop floor.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Demonstrate a keen interest in Engineering, use of initiative, team working and communication skills and enjoy a practical approach to learning and development
  • Have a minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent, Grade C or above to include Maths, English and a Science subject
  • Meet the eligibility criteria to secure a place on the Apprenticeships NI programme.
  • Secure a place on ETCAL Mechanical Engineering Level 2 Diploma Apprenticeship at NWRC Springtown Campus
  • On completion of Level 2, secure a place on a relevant Engineering based Level 3 qualification.
